Dental implants are surgically placed in your jawbone, where they serve as the roots of missing teeth. Because the titanium in the implant’s fuses with your jawbone, the implants won't slip, make noise, or cause bone damage the way fixed bridgework or dentures might. And the materials can't decay like your own teeth that support regular bridgework can.

Even if there is not enough bone in the area to be implanted, bone can be formed with additional procedures, or case-specific implants can be used for these special cases.

Teeth have a layer called the acquired pellicle, designed to protect the more sensitive parts. Yet, this is where stains emerge. Teeth whitening and dental cleaning remove this barrier temporarily and open the enamel’s pores in the process.

It takes 24 hours for the layer to regenerate itself and as such, the longevity of whitening hinges on the 48 hours following the procedure.

GUM TREATMENT

Gum disease is a chronic bacterial infection of the gums and the bone surrounding the teeth. This disease can occur at any age and can affect one tooth or several teeth at the same time.

The main cause of gum disease is dental plaque, a sticky mass of bacteria, that constantly accumulates on the teeth surfaces. These bacteria can create toxins that lead to gum inflammation and subsequent damage to the bone surrounding the teeth.
